Of Weddings and Wedding Invitations

For many young girls and brides to be, having a grand wedding celebration is a common dream.  Some dream of a beach wedding, some desire a garden wedding and some just wish for a simple traditional church wedding.   Whether it is a simple or a celebrated one, still, many would be happy as long as they walk down the aisle with the man of their life.  Hmmnn.. this ones sounds familiar.  Well, been there once in my life and I remember, there was no grand wedding celebration for me but only a simple one.  Nevertheless, it was a memorable one as we have all our close friends and relatives sharing with us that very special day.  I can’t even forget the incident where one of our guests can’t enter the venue because she forgot the wedding invitation given her. Our wedding invitation is just a simple one. But we had requested our guests to have it with them in the reception. The usher in-charge was quite strict then as he follows the instructions regarding the Wedding Invitations as reception passes.  We only wanted to be sure then that there will be no gate crashers. Of course, that guest of ours was welcomed even without the invitation. And the simple wedding of mine turned grand with loved ones around.

Thoughtful Newlyweds

There was a wedding I wasn’t able to attend.  I was supposed to be one of the Principal Sponsors but I begged-off.  Laguna is quite far and I can’t make it without my driver (hubby), So to cut the story short, the wedding went fine and it was a blast according to the mother of the bride, which is my friend.  Though we missed that grand June wedding, our gift reached the newlyweds just the same.  I’ve heard the couple flew to El Nido in Palawan after their reception. I just figured, the wedding could really be as grand.

When they got back, they sent us a Thank You Card and also their wedding favor that I missed.  It was a wine rack with a bottle of wine in it. It was so sweet of them. Such wedding favors like those offered by Gala Wedding Favors truly makes the occasion an unforgettable one. And I’ll never forget this one even if I wasn’t around on that special day.

I Learned My Lesson

July 16, 2009

I am presently without any household assistant.  My helper went on vacation and hasn’t come back yet since a couple of months ago leaving all the household works in my hands.  Last week, despite feeling unwell, I continued the rigorous cleaning of our kitchen until I was dog tired. When I woke up the following morning, the kitchen was flooded because I accidentally left the kitchen faucet open.  This happens because the water supply at night time is cut-off and one wouldn’t notice the faucets are left open since water isn’t running anymore. Again, I found myself mopping the kitchen floor and later that afternoon, I was experiencing high fever and severe cough. What followed next are days spent in the hospital.  I am well now anyway, and I have learned my lesson.

Am Not Feelin’ Well Again!

July 9, 2009

 smiley_sick_green.jpg sick image by TechDre

Here it is once more!  I can feel the start of a not so good physical wellness!  I should be getting my rest but I can’t help logging in to internet. (Kinda crazy, I admit!) This started after I got wet under the rain the other day.  There are intermittent cough and fever, ( I can only feel. Our thermometer was broken the other day)  It is really disappointing not to have adequate energy to carry out all these tasks, blogging wise and household wise!

I only pray it won’t get any serious than what I feel now.  Hoping the gallons of calamansi juice (exaged!) would absolutely eliminate this symptoms of I don’t know what!  Will continue observing myself!

Retiring to bed now.  See yah soon!

Hurray for PayPerPost

Happiness!!!  Well, that’s really how I feel though the expression is borrowed from a vitamin commercial on local TV.   The reason is, this is the only  time that I am getting the chance for many paid opps coming especially from PayPerPost.  Quite numerous that many good opps are wasted coz I don’t have enough time to do them all.  Not only that!  It’s a good deal of compliment for me to be congratulated for being an outstanding PPP Postie and for getting an automatic approval of submitted posts.  I know, …   nothing is so special about it !   Almost all of you are declared an outstanding PPP Postie.  But to think that I am among you guys, who are considered by PPP an outstanding Postie,… Oh my!!  I’m truly honored!.  Pay Per Post knows how to inspire blogger.   Thanks so much, PayPerPost!

Busy Days

July 3, 2009

I am too busy lately that seeing my oncologist for my scheduled yearly work-up has been always postponed. It was only yesterday that I had the chance to see her and got hold of the laboratory requests. I’m supposed to undergo my annual mammogram and breast ultrasound today but I see it’s best to have it this coming Sunday. I can have the car available then for my own use since Saturday and Sunday is Hubby’s rest day.

Tomorrow, my sister will come over to Manila and she has asked me to accompany her to look for some light fixtures for her newly renovated house.  Her chandeliers are still good looking but she wants a bigger one to blend well with the new high ceiling.  She also wants to change her kitchen light fixtures to give her spanking new kitchen a total transformation.  She knows I’m excited to tag along with her coz I want to window shop for my own  home lighting .

I hope I can finish all my chores today so I can leave the house with nothing to worry. I guess I have to start loading the wash clothes now to get things done. I’m so excited to be with my sis tomorrow!

Real Property Management

July 2, 2009

Buying Real Properties is one form of investing our hard earned money.  They say it gives a better ROI or Return on Investment.  However, owning Real Properties requires time and effort to manage especially if it is one that is too huge to handle or just simple apartment units that need to be maintained and would require for someone to handle the marketing, finances and dealing with tenants.  If you think it is too laborious for you, you may prefer to get the assistance of one who is knowledgeable in Real Property Management.  On this aspect, Maxim Enterprises is what you need. They are ready to share their expertise.

Trendy and Chic Corporate Suit

Time hasn’t change so much with regards to office wears since my era in the corporate world a couple of decades ago. (Too long ago eh!)  I didn’t have problems with clothes to wear because we were issued company uniforms then.  It was awkward though to go on a “spur of the moment” dinner date wearing company uniform.  We were allowed to wear casual clothing only  on Fridays and how I looked forward to those days because I was more comfortable wearing those modest clothing for women.

Presently, my daughter is now in the same shoes I was in before.  She’s always on the look out for the proper apparel at the same time being trendy and chic even in workplace. I only watch her mix and match those corporate suits with feminine laces and I could tell that she really has some fashion sense within her. And I love to agree when they would sometimes say, “Like mother, like daughter”!   That’s setting modesty aside!(Lol)
