Wife Chat

I know of a wife who has poured all that she has to keep her family happy and contented.  Her husband is in the Middle East for more or less a decade now working as a civil engineer while she has a small business at home and looks after their three children and the household.  If you would look at her, you might tell that she is one happy wife with no problem whatsoever.  But if you will dig deeper into her life, she is one woman about to go off.  Her husband has found another woman whom he has impregnated and now lives with that other woman permanently. With such hard luck, she finds support and comfort from her own family and lately, from other wives when she signed-in and involved herself in wife chat .  This online chat certainly lightens her seemingly unbearable load since she gets to meet and interact with many other wives online.  And as I see her now, she seems quite unbothered and peaceful. Could that be due to wife chat online? Maybe!

The Aquarium We Didn’t Get To See

Days ago when it was yet bright and sunny, we drove around Manila and strolled down Rizal Park.  We’ve heard so much about the Manila Ocean Park and its beautiful show- off fishes. However, when we were already at the place, we had a second thought on paying the 480pesos/pax entrance fee.  Having seen other huge aquariums abroad such as the Sydney Aquarium and the Aquarium in Hongkong’s Ocean Park, we thought that it  would just be another same fish thingy.  So we decided to just spend the money instead, on food.  That’s exactly what we did, and it certainly was a great deal of food tripping. Some other day perhaps, we’ll also find ourselves inside the Manila Ocean Park, when they’d slash the entrance fee to a much lower price. Yay!

Messed-up Merriment

 Last weekend we came to visit my Big Sis in Balanga City, Bataan.  Together with my own family, my (deceased) eldest brother’s family was also with us.  Such get together rarely happens for each ones’ schedules hardly ever coincide.  But this time around, after planning on so many places to go to, we ended up spending that one special Sunday in Sis’ place.

She didn’t have much time left for food preparation since we just informed her of our coming the afternoon before, so she just ordered from a food caterer.  The food was great though Sis’ cooking is much better. Anyway, the get together was in blissful peak when a tenant from one of her apartment units came over and complained about the roofing in their unit that needed immediate attention since it was raining cats and dogs that time.  We were quite upset by the uncalled situation but Sis, quite ruffled by the incident didn’t know what to do initially.  “Call one Orlando Roofing expert”, I jokingly advised.  I saw one website and they do have the skills and knowledge to do the job. I seriously wished deep inside, we have them here. Messed up roofing was messing up our happy moment.  Sis eventually contacted a repair man and sent him right away to the complaining tenant.  And the merriment continued till it was dark and time to go back to Manila.
