My Quiet Zone

World of Warcraft Games

April 24, 2009

On a typical weekend, I wake up in the morning with the sight of my husband sipping coffee in front of his laptop—checking sites and updating his own.  The other day, I found him playing solitaire (which, according to him is not an ordinary solitaire, but it’s a “spider” solitaire.)  I asked him why he likes playing it and if he has already tried the online games our children have been addicted to.  Of course, his answer is barely surprising—he has been accustomed to the simple card game on the computer and that he does not think he has time to try, even once, to play online games.

A barely surprising answer, I mentioned.  Because for busy people like us, online gaming is one thing we don’t think we have the time and patience for.  A day would never be enough just for writing blogs and preparing meals, let alone establishing an account on online games and spending time playing it. However, my daughter, who has been mentioning and introducing World of Warcraft to us, just told me that if people like me would really like to play, patience and time would not be that much needed to have a good account to have as your online character.  She said she’s actually already considering buying one from those who sell wow account. She just learned you can buy an account that is an advanced character.  Who would not like to start with an established character?  But then again, I think I would still enjoy my hubby’s spider solitaire until I further understand how online games really work, and who knows, maybe I can then ask my daughter to buy me my own account?  We’ll see.
