Welcome home, dear Friend!

A friend of mine who has settled in Seattle, Washington for more than 20 years came home to the Philippines for the second time. Along with her sister, we met her in the NAIA Centennial Airport last Saturday, December 20.  This friend of mine has married a US Military Man and has been to all the bases her husband had been stationed to.  It seems that time hasn’t changed her at all.  She’s still youthful and jolly as she was on our younger years.  This lady had always been the life of the group every time we were all together.  She wouldn’t care if the butt of the joke would be on her as long she could   keep us all laughing.  I guess that’s the secret of her youthful look. 

On that day that we welcomed and fetched her from the airport, she was surprised to see us around her and for a moment, the funny lady that she is had been altered by an emotional woman.  I supposed those tears she shed were tears of joy as she hugged each one of us so tightly.  On the car park, the jovial lady stroked again.  She commented that she only take rides on professionally driven VIP cars as that of the NYC Car service that they rented when she and her husband toured New York City.   She even teased that unless she is given a good transport service as that of the NYC Car service, she won’t bother to give our driver (friend) an adequate amount of tip.  Teasing her back, we asked her to go back and take the plane back to U.S.A.  And everybody had a good laugh, the start of jolly good times of being together once more.
