"Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer" Walk

It is a fact that among Asian countries, Philippines has the highest incidence  of Breast Cancer. There are 10,000 cases reported every year and sad to learn that 40% of these die.  In view of this, Avon Philippines, as the foremost corporate advocate of women’s health and beauty, will once again hold its annual “Walk Against Breast Cancer” Though I am not connected with Avon Philippines in any way, I am one with them in supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness in the country.  This year’s campaign, dubbed “Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer” aims to elevate awareness and raise funds to support the much needed medical treatments of indigent patients and provide mammogram equipments for Philippine General Hospital among others. This year’s event will be held in 16 different cities nationwide setting sights on establishing a Philippine record for highest number of attendees/supporters nationwide.

I, as one amongst those included on that Breast Cancer statistics in the Philippines is wholeheartedly joining again this “Walk Against Breast Cancer” to give support to this advocacy.  I hope I can invite more friends to join this humanitarian endevour.
