My Quiet Zone

A Family Day

September 18, 2008

‘Twas quite a long time since we spent Sunday out of the house and away from computers.   I always felt extremely contented every time I am out with my family enjoying the environs. Finally, I was able to grab and pull out these people from being glued in to their laptops to dine out in one of our  favorite restaurants.  Minis Steak House being situated in Libis, Quezon City is considerably far from our place but it didn’t stop my longing for a steak.  The very giving husband had no objection for my whim perhaps because he very well knew that the kids share the same desire for such cuisine.  So our Sunday lunch consisted of complete steak meal.  The menu included chicken and mushroom soup,  roll and butter, shrimp salad, coleslaw,  main course is my choice of Porterhouse , Tenderloin for daughter, T-bone for son, and Lengua for hubby.  For dessert, we all had ice cream except of husband who chose to have coffee instead.  That was a satisfying lunch. indeed.

After dining out,  we  drove, or should I say, hubby drove away from our usual route.  We sort of toured the Quezon City, Marikina, and Montalban area.  I was reminscing my chidhood as we passed by  Balara, expecting to see the swimming pool area but we lost our way and accidentally saw some beautiful overlooking views and nicely constructed bridge that connects Quezon City to Marikina and Montalban.

Then we stopped by SM Fairview for some groceries.  Went back home feeling cool and relaxed.
