Discover New Career Opportunity

July 30, 2008

Finding jobs nowadays are getting stiffer.  Or, if ever one has already landed a job, there is a great competition in the work place. My daughter is one example who’s squeezing it out into the corporate world.  She has successfully landed a job after her graduation from college but due to rigid work hours and a great deal of struggle, she is now amongst those professionals who are considering a career in technology.

A nephew of mine is presently enjoying a profession in the IT world.  He is being sent to different countries where the company he works for has offices; and he is the one in charge of disseminating to all their employees the latest information technology of the company.  He is truly enjoying the success he has made for himself in the IT world. According to him, he has seen continues demand for skilled IT professionals.   For this reason he is pushing my daughter to take some IT certification because he evidently knows the demand for such career. According to him, all those he has trained for their industries technology are stepping up the ladder of the IT world.

Now, my daughter is contemplating on veering to IT career.  She is considering of getting a Cisco certification, particularly the CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), for her start.   Aside from CCNA being a self study program, it offers a self–paced study routine that would give her ample time to both her present job and studies. I could see she’s determined to reach her goal, to be one like those her cousin has been training, if not like her cousin himself.

Interesting information, another good place to go for information would be the Cisco website. I recently got my CCNA from there and i’d recommend it for anyone who’s looking for information on CCNA certs or anything else in IT.
