In Real Trouble Without Knowing It

June 28, 2008

It’s been a week since I posted my last article “Let there be no more stones…”. The pains I was dealing with that time ultimately threw me to a hospital bed last Monday night.  Yes, I spent days in National Kidney and Transplant Institute due to serious infection of urinary bladder. I just arrived home  noontime, today .  I thought all those pains were only in my mind but obviously now, it’s not just a product of mental and emotional turbulence.  I was in real trouble without knowing it.

By the way, I missed visiting and reading my e-buddies blogs. I realized life is boring without the net.  I carried my laptop with me hoping against hope that there would be wifi in the hospital. Unfortunately though, there was none.  Only Hubby can make use of his celfone’s blue tooth for internet connection. I couldn’t borrow his laptop either since he was using it for his line of work.  I could have had a chance to use it one time but a Med Tech arrived to take a blood sample from me. I couldn’t do anything but set aside my laptop. No more opportunities for internet followed after.

( Hubby  while working beside my hospital bed. )

Let there be no more stones. . .

June 21, 2008

I am presently not doing well physically, mentally and emotionally.   The last two adverbs perhaps have just aggravated the first one.  I am having lots of aches and pains  I am pretty sure though that the big C has nothing to do with this. My doctors have declared me totally cancer free and I have claimed my absolute healing. Yes, I have faith in the Lord that He has healed me forever.

What’s bogging my wellness now is some emotional turbulence.  It’s kinda difficult to say but it is more difficult when you can’t express it totally. So, what’s disturbing me now is giving me some heavy burdens and pains inside me.  And it looks like it’s affecting my well being. I lost count how many times this has bothered me.  I just wish it can be dealt with, squarely

And I pray,   . . .  Lord, let there be no more stones!                Question Mark

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS

June 14, 2008

Let’s give our support  for this Breast  Cancer Awareness.  Let’s share what we can afford to share. Help save lives.

I am a  Breast Cancer Survivor myself and I am very blessed to have survived the big C for almost sixteen years now.  For all the girls and ladies who  can read this, always have your own self breast examination. There’s nothing better than an Early Detection. But if it wasn’t caught early, don’t loose hope. With all the proper treatments, you can still survive it, just like me. Take care of your health and take care of yourself!

I grabbed this post from Dana & Debbie. Thanks, Fil-Am Journey Couple!

•The first sign of breast cancer usually shows up on a woman’s mammogram before it can be felt or any other symptoms are present.

• Risks for breast cancer include a family history, atypical hyperplasia, delaying pregnancy until after age 30 or never becoming pregnant, early menstruation (before age 12), late menopause (after age 55), current use or use in the last ten years of oral contraceptives, and daily consumption of alcohol.

• Early detection of breast cancer, through monthly breast self-exam and particularly yearly mammography after age 40, offers the best chance for survival.

• Ninety-six percent of women who find and treat breast cancer early will be cancer-free after five years.

• Over eighty percent of breast lumps are not cancerous, but benign such as fibrocystic breast disease.

• You are never too young to develop breast cancer! Breast Self-Exam should begin by the age of twenty.

Resources: American Cancer Society National Cancer Institute Komen Foundation

You can help the lives of many women by spreading the word about The Breast Cancer Site pink button as many times as you can. If The Breast Cancer Site receives 8 million clicks on the pink button in June, their premier sponsor -Bare Necessities- will donate $10,000 for more free mammograms. CLICK the pink button now!

All my e-buddies can grab this tag.

Hubby’s Celebration a Success

June 9, 2008

The celebration for hubby’s birthday and promotion was over but we still hang on to the enjoyment we had. Though we would have been happier if our daughter, Janina didn’t have work sked  that time and have joined us instead.  Anyways, we left our place at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7 and fetched Pie and her two kids in San Fernando Pampanga. (She’s a niece-in-law) Then we passed by the Balanga Market to ;pick some food supply for our overnight stay on the beach. Afterwards went to my sister’s place in Balanga, Bataan before we finally proceeded to Sun Moon Beach in Bagac, Bataan. Went convoy with her till we reached the resort past noon, way over lunch time. ‘Was glad that my sister was a Girl Scout for she still follows their motto of “Always be Prepared”.  She has broughtwith her some already cooked food like fish, chicken bbq, crabs and some vegetables that went well with bagoong.  I didn’t bother to cook  for lunch anymore. My Ate is still the reliable sister I had when I was still a little kid.

We didn’t rent a cottage to sleep in.  We just brought our tents which were a big delight to the kids. They truly enjoyed playing house. Two days on the beach weren’t enough for me, nevertheless,  I savored every minute of it. Hopefully, everybody had a nice time too.

Here are some of our pictures:

Notice to all my e-buddies

Please bear with my links. They are messed up at the moment.  I can’t figure out where the problem lies.  Probably, it is within my web host’s scope.  I’ll be putting off my blog hopping for the meantime. I’ll visit you all as soon as it comes back. Promise!

Senior Manager’s Birthday

June 6, 2008

The family should have celebrated last month, only we didn’t have time.  But now that it is hubby’s birthday, we might as well celebrate with gusto because we’re gonna celebrate two occasions,  his birthday on Sunday, June 8 and his promotion on his job position from Manager to Senior Manager.  That really makes me truly proud of my husband.  why not, that’s just one position away to being a Vice President.    . . It’s free to dream! (Lol)

We leave early morning tomorrow, for  Bagac, Bataan.  We will have a beach celebration until Sunday. Actually this is just a way to bring my mother-in-law around town. And besides she’s financing this affair once again.  (She’s our central bank indeed.)

 Happy Birthday and     Congratulations

Sweetheart!     Beach I LOVE YOU!

On blogging. . .

June 2, 2008

I am excited when I was first introduced to blogging.  It feels good to have an outlet for all your unspoken thoughts and inner feelings. It’s fun to interact with co-bloggers from all over the world. I enjoy reading all the blogs I came across with and I am very often impressed by the personalities behind those blogs. My day passes so quickly without noticing the time.  I’m no longer bored as I was before. And best of all, I earn my own money through blogging. (Actually,  I  have saved enough for a  Bangkok  Tour.) All these are the advantages of Blogging for me. .  But wait, ain’t there a disadvantage where there’s an advantage?!

Yeah, maybe, sort of.  Here at home, although it’s a weekend and everybody’s around, no sound can be heard.  Nobody  talks.  Just for the reason that each one is busy with their laptops.  No more time for each other. No more story telling, no more exchange of jokes. Eating out is set aside as well as some walks somewhere.  Just like what emerged on lunchtime today, we were supposed to eat out but it turned out that no one bothered to stand up and prepare to go.  So what happened is I was forced to prepare food.  The easiest  l did  for a last minute preparation available in the ref was a Chicken dish.  Another upsetting move was the cancellation of watching the Pyrolimpics. (Or was it because it was just me wanting to come?! Why would they care!)  And there goes the disadvantages of blogging. . .  a family all together but not exactly together.  . . .Sigh!Pouty

Flower Photos

June 1, 2008

I clicked open my photo album in my computer and found these photos I have stored since a couple of years ago. I took these photos from the different places we’ve been to. I am not actually a photo enthusiast but just like the butterfly, I get fascinated to the colorful and beautiful flowers I come across with. With nothing worth posting, these are a better alternative I can think of.
