My Quiet Zone

CN Tower Toronto

April 2, 2008

Few years back, we were walking along the Market Street of Sydney, Australia: and I was amazingly looking straight up to a very tall tower called the Sydney Tower.  I was so impressed by the architecture of the structure; and I was thinking that it is the tallest tower in the world.  But now I know I was wrong.  After some internet surfing, I came across the CN Tower and found out that Sydney Tower is even less than half the height of CN Tower.  I could only imagine it could be way beyond the clouds.

CN Tower Toronto is located in Ontario, Canada.  It is Canada’s and Toronto’s national icon.  You can climb to the top via its see through glass elevators. You definitely do not have fear of heights if you can do so, because it is more than 550 meters high from the ground.  While atop, you can dine in at the revolving restaurant, which rotates every 72 minutes.  That could give you the breathtaking view of the Downtown Toronto and Lake Ontario without any obstruction at 360 degrees.

It is a favorite family holiday place since adults and kids alike have something to take pleasure in.  There are interactive rides, arcades and motion simulators that kids would definitely enjoy; while there are souvenir shops you can look into. The CN Tower Toronto is open daily but try to call first before visiting since the operating hours varies every season.

Kalvin’s Birthday Party

Of course, we were at Kalvin’s (my grandson) first birthday party last Saturday.  We arrived at the place a little early  while there were yet few guests and Jon and Kim were still busy with the last few trimmings to complete the children’s party ambiance.

With the presence of three funny clowns that stood as the emcees, children and adults alike had a tremendous fun. There were lots of cool entertainments and almost everyone got to participate on the games especially on “Bring Me" game.

Kalvin’s first birthday celebration was obviously a successful one. Close friends of these two young parents were around, together with Jon’s big bosses.  Some relatives were also present not wanting to miss this memorable event. The place was grand and the food was superb.  I could  say that Jon and Kim must have spent a big portion of their savings for this occasion. Well, why not!  If it’s all for the love of their son, Kalvin Jonvic.
