My Quiet Zone

Cool Summer in Pangasinan

March 25, 2008

After countless summers of wishing to have a tent, we finally bought one.  To have a tent is really not much of a big deal.  But, tell me, doesn’t it sound fun and cool to put up a tent, place it on the sand, under the serene sky, with a breezy beach adjacent it?  Well, it sounds so fun to me, that is why even though I knew we were renting a cottage with our relatives along the shoreline in San Fabian, Pangasinan, my hubby and I still bought a tent the day before we left for the holy week vacay.

Could still remember how everyone got excited the first night my hubby, daughter, nephew, and I put it up.  (Yes, it needed four people to figure how to set it up the first time!)  The kids and even the adults wanted to sleep in it.  Unfortunately, the tent’s capacity was for three to four persons only.  But no one is sad because we are expecting a camp soon, as my nephews were asking their mother (my sis-in-law, the older one, who is now based in the US) to include tents in her next balikbayan boxes.  I’m looking forward to having another exciting family activity soon.  Can’t wait!

Actually, it is Jaja who’s very happy when we bought this tent. Two kids slept with her and with me, not wanting to leave the three of them alone outside our cottage.
