My Quiet Zone

April’s Celebration

March 8, 2008

My family (sans my son) with my mother-in-law and Elvie, my younger sis-in-law are presently here in Quezon, Isabela celebrating April’s passing of the recent Nursing Board Examination. April is our niece - my husband’s side.  She graduated her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Paul University  in Tuguegarao, Cagayan.  She’s the youngest in the brood of six, all being graduates of different college courses.

It is amazing for me how they do their celebration here. They slaughtered five pigs, three goats, ordered fresh seafood from Pangasinan plus ripe mangoes and other fruits.  Almost everyone in town were invited to join in the celebration which is supposedly a lunch party.  However, it is already past 9 pm but the merriment is still in full swing..  Although I’m still a bit weary of our whole day of travel yesterday, I still look forward for another active day of picnic at their fish farm tomorrow.  Even in the absence of my very caring sister-in-law Evelyn, she keeps on calling from California, USA just to ensure that we are given the usual hospitability she extends every time we are here. The kids are equally caring as their mom. I just couldn’t say more.
