Lianne Victoria’s Birthday

January 29, 2010

Last Wednesday, January 27..  I happened to be  in Balanga, Bataan when Lianne, my grandniece,  celebrated her birthday..  Her “Mama” which is actually her granny (my sis) bought her a cake of which she excitedlty blew the candle. Unfortunately though, my camera didn’t cooperate. I took some pictures of her while blowing her birthday candle and some shots in the buffet lunch  blow-out  (given by her Mommy Iya)  but all came out badly focused.   I managed  with  my cell phone’s camera but the thing is, the USB cord is nowhere to be found… Anyway, am still blessed I got one, though not so clear.  And here’s the two year old of her.  Cute, smart and clever.  She’s all smile in her new dress fresh from gift wrap.

 Happy 2nd Birthday, Lianne Victoria!

A Gift from Big Sis

January 20, 2010

One time when I visited my Big Sis in her place in Bataan, she brought me to Marquee Mall in Angeles City along with her daughter-in-law and granddaughter.  It’s the latest big Mall in the place.  As we strolled along, we happened to pass by the Crocs Shop.  For those not familiar with it, Crocs footwear is a high priced footwear.  I really don’t have any idea why such a plain looking slipper could be steeply priced.  With a slight curiosity why my Sis and her family like wearing Crocs, I peeked inside the shop and fit some. Getting the feel of it, though the price is considerably luxurious for me, I grabbed one for myself if only to experience wearing one.  How I was delightfully surprised when Sis took over in paying and paid my shopped item herself.  Ooh wow!! I was really surprised for the impromptu gift giving!  I guess it pays to go window shopping with a moneyed and generous sister! Ha ha ha!

TV for my house help

January 5, 2010

These early, I’m already worrying about the day my house help would leave to have her annual vacation leave.  I’m sure many of you would agree with me that it is really very difficult to be left in the house taking charge of all the household chores..  She has been with us for three years now and so far, everything is fine with her. She works well and her being trustworthy is what I like most. Just to compensate the goodness she has been doing for us, I decided to donate to her one of our used TV.  She would bring it home to her province when she takes her vacation in summer.  I’m glad I made her happy. However, she said there’s only one local TV channel in their area. I asked her to just get a cable connection like what we have if ever there’s any.  If only Direct TV is available here in the country, I would ask her to order a DirectTV connection.  That is what I want too since  I have heard a lot of good reviews about it.   My niece in the U.S.  is one of them and she has mentioned how satisfied she is with her  Directv  HD channels.

Well, maybe my maid doesn’t have the chance to enjoy the Direct TV per se,  but she can get pleasure from watching movies from DVD players or the onlyTV channel available.  Who knows, we would also have a Direct TV Satellite Television here sooner than we know it.

Toyota Rav4 For a Small Family Like Mine

December 31, 2009

Usually, hubby is the one found talking about cars, although I am also into this classic passion. Especially when it comes to our family car, hubby and I always need to consider a lot of things before buying one and so I also do some research about what is latest available on the market. However, with the need to finish my everyday priorities, I do not have the luxury of time to go to car shows or even visit showrooms of different car companies. Since I always want to be updated about cars, I do seek information through the internet.

Stumbling upon some car articles on the web, the first car company I checked was Toyota. My family trusts their products because for the two Toyota cars we had previously owned, we were very satisfied. I would really want to have a Toyota again and if ever we are ready to buy a new car, I would want to have a third generation Toyota Rav4. The article about Rav4 has explained well enough its good and some not so good features about it. I think hubby and I would agree that it fits our criteria for a new family car. You, as well, may check Toyota Rav4’s article or other car models through www.thecarconnection.com. If you have a small family just like mine, you may like Toyota Rav4 too!

GPS Tracking for Peace of Mind

December 29, 2009

Happy New year everyone!

In just few hours more, we are about to greet the coming 2010 with a bang. Another new year adds another number to our age. Kids are looking forward to get bigger and older, teens are in a rush to be full adults but adults are anxious in getting older. But that’s what life is.  It is a continuous transformation.  And for all you know, an aging loved one like a granny or grandpa would suddenly be out of his/her usual self. The so called dementia or memory loss eventually takes over.  When this happens, the danger of losing their sense of direction is not too remote. Finding their way back home is a risk you don’t want to take. But with this age of high technology, it is not something to worry about.   GPS Tracking gives the solution.

Victoria GPS Tracking System is available to track down someone who has memory problem  With just about the size of a deck of cards, the Victoria Tracking system is actually a vehicle tracking system that offers real time tracking system which allows it to go from vehicle tracking device to personal tracker. The system is 100 percent web-based. All the date is stored on secure company server and can be viewed from any web enabled computer. As it is practically portable and powerful, its uses are quite diverse.

Here are some of its possible uses:

·  Commercial vehicles: to curtail wasted time, trips and fuel.

·  Newly-licensed teen drivers.

·  Costly or large assets such as boats, motorcycles, antiques, artwork.

·  Children or grandchildren who are attending school far away from home.

·  Someone who has memory problems or whose driving abilities have become questionable

·  Sportsmen (hiking, hunting, bicycling, horseback riding, snowmobiling).

It’s only two and a half days left before New Year. Another  year, another hope, another  dream would hopefully materialize. Worry no more for your business and family. For companies with needs for tracking devices, and families who wants to be assured of a family member’s whereabouts and safety, Victoria Tracking device is just a click away.

Have a safe and prosperous New Year once again!

This Blog has Turned 2

November 24, 2009

I have been very busy lately that I actually overlooked the dates.  I forgot that this blog of mine, “My Quiet Zone” had already turned 2 years old last November 10.  Imagine?  I’ve been blogging for two years now?!  I’m so glad that hubby introduced me to this wonderful world of blogging.  I couldn’t thank him more.  To think that I was even annoyed every time I saw hubby doing his blogging stuff…  now I could only smile!

More so now, that I was able to buy the pair of pricey jewelry I have long dreamed of.  Yup!  I bought a pair of South sea pearls earrings and pendant from my own blogging earnings, and also one high quality leather wallet for hubby. When I saw the wallet from Marks and Spencer in Trinoma, I remember I haven’t picked my wedding anniversary gift yet for hubby. So there it was, I hope he liked it!  I feel great for those stuff I bought. Very clearly, I made my own money. Woo hoo!  Hopefully, there are more ops to come and more moolah on the way!  (Lol!)  Happy Blogsversary, My Quiet Zone!

Here’s my pair of South sea pearls earrings and pendant:

Circus Online Casinos

November 13, 2009

Way back in the early ninety’s, hubby and I used to occasionally visit the Casinos in Roxas Boulevard.  Hubby was fond of playing blackjack while I loved to play the simple Slots Machine.  It was fun to play the games but the smoke filled room was almost always jam packed. The smoke pollution was too much for my asthma until visiting the Casino became unbearable for me. We stopped frequenting the Casinos since then.

Lately, I came across an Online Casino and it interests me to know that they have the different arrays of exciting casino games an actual Casino has to offer.  If only Circus Online Casinos have already been around in the ninety’s perhaps I could have enjoyed playing the Slots Machine and other casino games much better sans the smoke and the congested hall.

The K9 Police Dog

My daughter Janina is very fond of dogs.  Unlike me, she isn’t scared of getting near the big breed of dogs such as this labrador of K-9  Police.  The moment daughter saw this huge but frienfly looking animal at the lobby of Makati Shangrila, she instinctively cuddled the dog and how amazed I was when the police dog responded to her tender touch with gentle look of affection while resting his big head on daughters thigh.  Oohh, I could only give a deep sigh of liking to this very affectionate and sociable police dog.

Crystal Singing Bowls

November 3, 2009

I’m sure you are well aware of Singing Bowls. If not, you can be amongst those few who ask the questions.. ”what are Singing Bowls?”   “Do they really sing like a singing diva?”  Well, you may think of it that way because they are the kind of bowls that are capable of sending out pure solid tones, soothing tones that could ease your mind as well as your physical well being. These are bowls which are used in holistic healing. Apart from the therapeutic sound it gives out, it is actually an exquisite piece of conversation as décor.

Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, the ones being introduced by Silver Sky Imports are beautiful pure and clear Crystal Singing Bowls that produce different sounds that could reach higher volumes than the regular Metal Singing Bowls. The tones vary according to the sizes. The bigger the bowl the longer the sound reverberates. The crystal bowls are made of pure quartz crystal that comes with a high quality made suede striker to produce the maximum quality tone.  The smooth quality tone is almost a musical tone more so when combined with other crystal bowls. It greatly helps in obtaining solemnity while in deep relaxation and meditation.

With all these descriptions, will it surprise you if lots of users are still  trying to get another piece or two in addition to their presently owned crystal singing bowl?  I bet you won’t coz I’m sure, you’d love to have one for yourself too!

Buffet Dinner Plate

October 22, 2009

My friend L, treated us to a buffet dinner at Yam Cha Restaurant the other night.  I am showing here my own plate with my own choices of dishes.  I am not boasting here the kind of appetite I have (Lol).   It just so happened that I haven’t taken any snack that day. And mind you, it’s even limited yet coz I’m not a pork eater,  while most of the foods on the table are pork cuisines. Sad for me, but it was very filling just the same.

Flood Damaged Car

October 21, 2009

The floods brought about by Ondoy and Pepeng are hardly gone in some places just like the enormous destructions that resulted from it.  Countless properties were totally damaged including houses and cars.  It is unfortunate that a friend close to us was amongst those flood victims.  His whole properties including the car in their garage were submerged in the muddy water.  Now that the flood had subsided, his house together with his Toyota Altis car are in complete disaster.  It’s good for him that some relatives came to his rescue.  They took turns in cleaning and repairing damages in the house but his car had to be brought to the Casa.  He was informed that many parts had to be replaced including the diesel turbocharger.  The motor repair shop assured him though that there’s no problem with regards to the diesel parts. They could always order parts online at Diesel

Parts Pros.  His car is now on queue for its turn on repair at the shop.

Looking for bed and breakfast

October 20, 2009

It looks like it is a bright sunny day today contrary to the weather forecast early this morning that another typhoon is lurking the western side of Luzon.  Enough for storms and typhoons, I hope! I already miss going out of town, especially our escapades to Subic.  I was chatting with my sister over FB and I learned that even she misses the Legenda Suites where we used to check-in for a night or two.  It is just upsetting that the place is no longer open to the public.

If the weather permits, perhaps we would be heading back again to Subic one of these days.  I got a word from my sister that it will be her treat. Woo hoo! I guess I need to look for one comfy place where we could stay and enjoy overnight.  One that offers b&b.

I have heard many bed and breakfast places in Subic but I have no idea which among those is budget friendly.  How I wish we could find one as cozy as those Italian bed and  breakfast I have seen in the net.  Yes we are not in Italy, but even so, I still wish to find one like those b&b roma.  At least, though we can’t be in Italy we can experience comfort and luxury even it’s only Subic.  Maybe, I’ll just dream that I’m in Italy while enjoying the comfort of a b&b.

Relaxing with sis

This was taken In Grande Island, Subic with sis.  The place is gorgeous but it wasn’t enjoyed that much because of endless rain. I hope we can go out of town like this again sans the rain.

GPS Tracking

Being parents of now legal aged children, we are pleased that our children didn’t pass the stage of being rebellious and stubborn teenagers unlike others who detest the care and loving discipline of their parents. I understand many of the teenagers today are too obstinate that all they care for is to experiment and enjoy the new found freedom regardless if it will bring about negative consequences or not. Teenagers in some point remain being kids in the eyes of concerned parents. Young as they are, they could be   prone to many dangers once they are out on their own risky world.

For parents who are concerned with the activities of their freedom seeker teenagers. GPS tracking can be a valuable gadget. This device can empower them to watch over their children by giving them information that they would not be able to uncover on their own.

GPS tracking  is one of the outstanding devices being utilized today not only by parents but also by truckers,  law enforcers and many other service companies who need to trace movements of their people and vehicles.  Whether you are a parent concerned for your son’s safety or a trucking services manager watching over your vehicles’ movement, LandAirSea Systems, Inc. is there for you.  They are the leading provider of passive or real time GPS tracking systems, devices and software since 1994. The time of stressful anxieties over teenage children or business hazards are over.  Contact LandAirSea Systems, Inc. now

Moms chill out

We had an afternoon of complete pampering.  My friend Lyn and I I took another break from our daily routine of cleaning the house and washing pots and pans. Yesterday, we went out to get some relaxation in a Spa.  It has been a long while since and I missed the Jacuzzi and the soothing massage.  I’m glad the two of us finally escaped and made it there.

It was worth spending time and money.  I supposed busy mothers like us deserve some spoiling once in a while.  It has loosened up those stresses and weariness that have accumulated in my nerves.  A real chill out, it was a complete respite from the maddening world of a stay at home wife and mom.
